Come along and gain some inside secrets of how composers through the centuries have used humour as the spice of musical life.
JS Bach, Mozart, Haydn, Arthur Sullivan, Leroy Anderson were just the best known of musicians to write music that brings the funny side of life. Over two sessions you will learn and enjoy some of their inside secrets as Alex shares twenty of his favourite moments of musical humour through the ages .Alex will play a few of his examples live and others will presented via multimedia. Alex will also share some great moments from musical humorists such as Flanders and Swann and Tom Lehrer.
